Frequently Asked Questions
Who can pitch?
High school students! While the summit takes place in Michigan, everyone is encouraged to pitch.
What exactly am I pitching?
Any idea you have! We've had pitches about apps, coffee stores, phone cases, non profits and anything else you can think of. If you've got a great idea, we want to hear it!
How should I pitch?
Be creative and make your pitch stand out. But, be sure to clearly state your name, high school, and idea. Other successful pitches in the past have usually talked about why their idea is important and how they plan on making the idea a reality.
Why should I pitch?
Pitching gives you access to resources that can greatly accelerate your idea to becoming a reality. The best pitches will be invited to our summit where you'll have access to mentors, workshops, prizes, and tours. Whether your idea is an app, company, food product, or new type of shoe, we'll help you make it real.
What do I get for winning?
You'll walk away with something to show for your idea, great resources, a new vision of entrepreneurship, and potentially some extra cash.
What do I need to pitch?
Just an idea! This competition is totally free.
Are parents invited?
Parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in during our pitch competition. However, the workshops, tours and guest speakers are meant for participants only.
Will food be provided?
YES! Breakfast and lunch will be provided for both days.
Are financial accommodations provided for the entrepreneurial summit?
While we would love to be able to offer our participants housing or transportation to the summit in Ann Arbor, we do not have the budget to do so. We have devoted to making the event as strong as possible, and providing our participants with cash prizes.
